For example, if your goal is to increase web traffic or drive sales or create brand loyalty, the message will be different in each situation. More importantly, your message will also defer depending on the platform used.
Currently, there are dozens and dozens of social media platforms in the world, but the big ones are Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit and LinkedIn. Depending on the platform used, your information will need to be altered in a unique, fresh way; don’t repeat the same information and content across numerous platforms. This looks lazy and bland.
Keep in mind that social media campaigns often see better results when more than one social media platform is used.

When creating a social media campaign, there are a few details that need to occur so you can have a successful campaign.
The first is that it needs to reflect the company’s brand through and through. If your target audience doesn’t know who is pushing the information out, you need to revamp your campaign.
Your campaign should also be simple and get straight to the point. Even if you have more than one goal for your social media campaign, don’t cram it all into one campaign. Stick with one goal or message per campaign and flesh that message out completely.
Lastly, your campaign should be memorable and make the target audience feel connected to your campaign. There are many ways to do this, but the best route is by giving your followers some type of action to do, whether it’s taking a poll, providing a company review or entering a contest.
No matter what, always engage with followers during the campaign by addressing any replies, questions, comments or concerns they have. Respond in a timely manner, and respond in a way that positively reinforces the business and makes it look like the company is personally involved.
Dr. Eddie Siman: The TMJ Expert
Now that you have learned a bit about social media campaigns, let’s take a look at one of the most successful examples through our client the TMJ Expert Dr. Eddie Siman.
Dr. Siman’s social media campaign’s goal was to improve traffic, both paid and organically. The campaign that Promotion LA created for him focuses on the temporomandibular joint, or TMJ, disorder and its causes, symptoms and treatment with the hopes of driving viewers to his website.
Though Promotion LA cut Dr. Siman’s marketing budget in half, he is still getting maximum results from the numerous platforms we use, including Google ads, Facebook ads, video ads, display, remarketing and Instagram boosting. We also post several social media posts a week on a variety of social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.

After launching the in-depth social media campaign, Promotion LA and TMJ saw several successful outcomes.
Though traffic increased by 200%, there was also a 105% increase in organic traffic.
For social media alone, TMJ saw a 1093% increase.
